Interior Doors

Panel - A door constructed of several smaller components (stiles, rails, loose-fitting panels which allows the door to maintain its shape while expanding and contracting with weather and temperature changes. This door style was first developed in the eighteenth century as an alternative to batten doors, which didn't function well under moisture and climate changes.

Hollow Core - A door with a core assembly of strips or other units of wood, wood derivative or insulation board, that supports the outer faces and has intervening hollow cells or spaces.

Bi folds - A segmented, hinged door that folds and slides on a head track to the side when opened. This door was first used during the 19th century and is now usually used for closet doors.

Louver Door - A panel door with part or all of the panels replaced by louvers; a blind door.

Patio Doors
Sliding Patio - A door with one or more panels that slide horizontally.

Hinged Patio - A window unit comprised of a single frame in which two sash (hinged at the side jambs) may be opened outward from the center of the frame. This creates an unobstructed opening which spans nearly the complete width of the frame.

Folding Patio - Jeld-Wen has created an exterior folding door system; a new concept in patio doors. The syle and elegance of a classic French door with the updated benefits and features of sliding patio door. Each section slides on an overhead track and neatly folds away. Construction can be either wood or fiberglass.
